Brief summary

The Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture, which has as its theme the history of Nagasaki’s overseas exchanges in modern times, especially during the period of national isolation in the Edo period, is composed of two zones: the Japanese Government of Nagasaki Zone, which is a reconstruction of the historical Nagasaki Magistrate’s Office called Bugyosho, and the History and Culture Exhibition Zone, which is the main office and is done in a contemporary architectural style.
